Can’t keep up with the Kimye divorce? Here’s what you need to know.
After Kim Kardashian went Instagram official with comedian Pete Davidson over the weekend, it seems ex Kanye West has reignited his public feud with the new couple.
On March 13th, Pete’s friend and fellow comedian, Dave Sirus, leaked text messages that were allegedly exchanged between Pete and Kanye.
In the texts, Pete urged Kanye to “calm down”, saying he’s “not gonna let [Kanye] treat [him and Kim] this way anymore”.
Pete suggested that he and Kanye sit down and talk, to which Kanye responded by asking Pete to come see him at Sunday Service, the weekly church service held by Kanye.
Pete also extended an offer of peace to Kanye, saying “Let me help you man. I struggle with mental stuff too and it’s not an easy journey […] There’s no shame in having a little help”.
He also claimed to have stopped SNL and stand-up comedians from producing content about Kanye and his divorce with Kim, not wanting the “father of [his] girl’s kids to look bad out there”.
Hours later, Kanye took to Instagram with a series of videos that have since been deleted, speaking about how little say-so he now has in his children’s lives. He claimed that his children have not been attending his Sunday Service, and prayed that they would join him again.
After deleting these videos, Kanye returned to Instagram with another video, captioned, “I’m controlling my narrative. I’m raising my kids. Kris, Laura, Kim and Tracy parental alienation is a crime”, addressing Kim, her mother Kris, and the Kardashian-Jenner team.
“The fact that I was praying online in a public format to see my children lets you know how diminished I have been as a father,” he says in the video.
This video was also deleted shortly after.
Kim finally responded to another Instagram posted by Ye, asking him to “stop with this narrative” that he never sees their children.
“You were just here this morning picking up the kids for school,” she said.
