By now we’re all familiar with the rise (and potentially fall?) of TikTok’s first content collective, The Hype House. But shortly after its famed inception, a rival content house popped up filled with viral stars of equal influence, many of whom are close friends with members of The Hype House.
Introducing: Sway House.
(Well, probably not “introducing,” but more on that later.)
Sway House was founded on January 4, 2020 in Bel Air California. Contrary to The Hype House, who kicked off the year with a press tour hitting up major outlets like The New York Times, Entertainment Tonight and Forbes, Sway House remained relatively low-key during in its early days— so much so that some fans initially speculated that Sway House started as a way to troll The Hype House.
However, four months and millions of followers later, Sway House has solidified itself as one of TikTok’s most influential content groups.
Now, fans are left wondering, who are these stars and how do they know each other?
How did the Sway House come together?
The Sway House was conceptualised by the talent development company, TalentX Entertainment. The company represents each member of the Sway House (and we assume they represent the house as a collective, as well).
Who is in the Sway House?
Like most content houses, Sway House has a handful of stars who live at the house, and others who are part of the “crew” but do not reside there.
TalentX Entertainment reportedly hand-picked the main members. Currently, the Sway boys include Bryce Hall, Anthony Reeves, Griffin Johnson, Kio Cyr, Blake Gray and most recently, Noah Beck.
Nick Bean and Quinton Griggs are part of the collective and frequently create content with main members.
Josh Richards and Jaden Hossler were also founding members (Josh is actually a partner of TalentX Entertainment) but announced their departure from the house in late May after a string of scandals.
How did they get famous?
Musical.ly and Vine were huge stepping-stones for members of Sway House, with many building their audiences on those platforms before joining TikTok.

How do they know each other?
It seems most Sway House members knew each other before the TikTok days.
“The guys in the house have been best friends for quite some time,” Michael Gruen, VP of Talent at TalentX told Forbes. “Most of them went on tour last summer together, so this group was easy to assemble.”
The tour Gruen is referring to is the Press Play Tour, where viral stars travel around the United States performing and doing ‘Meet and Greets’ with fans.
Sway House vs. The Hype House
The Sway House and The Hype House have some serious history.
Co-founder of The Hype House, Chase Hudson (Lil Huddy), was close friends with Josh Richards and Bryce Hall from their tour days. However, back in March, the Sway House accused Chase of trying to hook up with Josh’s now ex-girlfriend Nessa Barrett. Josh and Bryce released a diss track about Chase and it seemed to lead to some bad blood between the rival content houses. The jury’s still out on if the three have reconciled.
There have also been some cross-house relationships linking the two groups.
Anthony Reeves has been dating Hype House’s Avani Gregg since late 2019. The couple has been very public with their relationship on social media and they frequently bring the crews together for collabs.
Sway’s Noah Beck recently confirmed he is dating Dixie D’Amelio after Dixie split from Sway’s Griffin Johnson. Though Dixie and sister Charli D’Amelio don’t technically live in The Hype House, the duo has been part of the fringe collective since its inception.
Finally, Bryce Hall was also linked to Hype House’s Addison Rae twice, but that ended mid-summer.
