Looks like the ‘Dinner with the D’Amelios’ drama is far from over.
Hours after Charli D’Amelio addressed her recent backlash in a tearful Instagram live, YouTuber Trisha Paytas released a series of TikTok videos criticising Charli and Dixie D’Amelio‘s behaviour in their controversial video. Included in this series was a video calling out James Charles, where Trisha seemed to insinuate James has an inappropriate relationship with 16-year-old Charli.
ICYMI, the famous sisters are facing backlash— including death threats and comments encouraging them to take their own lives— for a YouTube video posted to their family channel on Monday for what fans are calling “bratty” and “ungrateful” behaviour. James Charles was also featured in the vlog.
“You are also 21-years-old, friends with an underage minor,” Trisha says in response to James’ subtweet at her from earlier today. “Tati took advantage of you by being friends with you, you’re doing that with Charli.”
While he’s managed to stay out of drama in recent months, James couldn’t help but respond to Trisha’s harmful allegations about his relationship with the D’Amelios.
“I didn’t want to respond to this because I didn’t wanna give Trisha the attention that she’s clearly craving,” the makeup artist starts. “However, I have now been accused of being a child groomer and this is not an accusation that I’m going to take lightly.”
“To insinuate that the relationship between Charli and I is anything other than just a friendship is absolutely disgusting. I don’t need Charli and Charli does not need me,” he continues. “I became friends with the D’Amelio family as a whole very, very early on because this was all very, very new to them and I wanted to be a friend and a mentor in any way that I possibly could.”
He says the “one thing” he and Charli have in common is they both became famous at a very young age.
James goes on to bring up multiple problematic things Trisha has done in recent years, including endorsing Donald Trump and offending the transgender community as well as the dissociative identity disorder community.
Though James has made it clear he will not be responding to Trisha’s allegations on his situation again, the OnlyFans creator rebutted James’ claims in a since-deleted TikTok video.
“You said I called you a groomer, never said that sweetie,” she says. “You said I did blackface, where? Show me where?” She goes on to say that James brought up instances from her past that she has apologised for “time and time again.”
She finishes by calling him a jerk and telling him to “leave Charli alone.”
James then tweeted and deleted a photo of Trisha from years ago participating in Ganguro— a Japanese style of makeup, which could easily be mistaken for blackface.
Both Trisha and James have dropped their feud at the time of publication.
Moral of the story? Don’t throw stones if you live in a glass house.
And definitely don’t come for James Charles unless you want to get destroyed in 60 seconds or less.
