Sway it ain’t so!
TikTok stars Josh Richards and Jaden Hossler are officially leaving the Sway House.
The boys announced the news via Twitter today, writing that they’ve made the joint decision to leave the content collective to pursue other creative projects, particularly music. Both Josh and Jaden were founding members of Sway House— the brainchild of talent development company, TalentX Entertainment.
Since its inception, Sway has been the subject of much scrutiny over the members’ problematic behaviour and partying.
Their announcement comes off the back of some big trouble for the Sway team. On May 25th, Jaden and fellow Sway House member Bryce Hall were arrested for possession of drugs. While they’ve since been released on bond, Jaden is facing a felony charge on two accounts. Bryce was charged with a misdemeanor.
Shortly after the arrest, rumours started circulating that Bryce took the fall for Josh Richards, who was also in the car at the time of the arrest along with TikTok stars Quinton Griggs, Anthony Reeves, and Griffin Johnson. Josh is Canadian, so getting arrested could have him deported.
The news that Jaden and Josh are leaving the house — rather than Jaden and Bryce who were the ones arrested — has fans speculating even more now that the rumours were true.
Despite the dramatic exit, there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between the Sway boys. Anthony Reeves responded to their tweets writing, “love you, gonna miss you man,” as did Quinton Griggs who tweeted, “Love my bois always.” Griffin Johnson wrote, “gonna miss you boys so much it hurts” and Byrce Hall replied saying, “love you guys. brothers for life fr.”
Bryce then followed up with an important message to fans, saying he understands that everyone is sad about Josh and Jaden leaving Sway, but there are much bigger things to worry about in the world right now than this. “spread love and be safe in these terrible times,” he finished.
i know the boys are leaving.. but don’t worry too much about it, there are way bigger things going on in the world right now and all we should be worrying about is that. spread love and be safe in these terrible times.
