JoJo Siwa is stirring up drama with her exes on social media.
Earlier this week, the tween idol posted a TikTok titled “Me trying to find love…” in which she pretends to duck from “red flags” that pop up on the screen. The red flags include clout-chasing, love bombing, and exes.
“It’s entertaining [that’s] for sure,” she wrote in the caption.
One day later, JoJo’s ex-girlfriend Katie Mills responded to the creator’s “red flags” video in a stitch.
JoJo and Katie started dating back in December 2021. Around that same time, JoJo became “really good friends” with Avery Cyrus. By September 2022, JoJo and Avery were dating. The two split just three months later.
In her stitch, Katie addressed her relationship with JoJo and this alleged cross-over between herself and Avery.
“I’m done being quiet,” she starts. “You hold a lot of power you and your platform. How can you tell someone that you love them and then ghost them the next day and then post all over the internet that we’re clout-chasers and love bombers? I don’t get it.”
“You sent me and Avery through hell for months and gave us no explanation why. You know we weren’t love bombers or clout chasers,” Katie says, before claiming their public appearances to Hollywood Boulevard, Disneyland, and the Los Angeles Lakers basketball game throughout their relationship were all JoJo’s ideas.
Katie also claims she always checked with JoJo before she posted content with her on social media.
She goes on to say that all the social media harassment Katie and Avery have both received since their split with JoJo was “starting to die” but now JoJo has resurrected that hate with this video.
“We’re getting the DMs back, the comments back…knock it off. You know me and Avery can’t defend ourselves so stop attacking us. Leave us alone,” she finishes.
This is not the first time that JoJo has accused Avery of being a clout-chaser.
On December 18th, 2022, Jessalynn Siwa, JoJo’s mother, uploaded a video to her Instagram story of JoJo claiming she was “tricked” for views and clout.
“I got tricked into being told I was in love and I got f*cking played,” JoJo said.
At the time, fans suspected that the video was in response to a video that Avery posted (just days after her breakup announcement from JoJo) with her ex Soph Mosca, whom she had dated for two years prior.
On December 20th, Avery released a statement saying she was still struggling with the breakup. “From my perspective, me and JoJo left on great terms and are still friends,” she told E!. “I’m still very hurt that JoJo broke up with me, and I’m saddened and confused by the situation.”
Thanks to some information fed to gossip TikTokers, rumours quickly spread that JoJo was talking with her other ex, Kylie Prew, while dating Avery. Kylie’s ex Rylin Utah added fuel to the fire when she posted a TikTok seemingly confirming these rumours.
JoJo and Kylie dated for a few months back in 2021 before JoJo dated Katie.
On December 21st, JoJo took to TikTok to address the situation, accusing Avery of telling one of her friends that she was using the reality star to “grow her career” and “get to the top”.
“And when I said I just wanted to be friends so I didn’t lead you on after an unplanned hookup you wanted nothing to do with me because there was nothing to gain anymore,” JoJo wrote in the caption.
JoJo has not addressed Katie’s stitch at the time of writing, nor has she removed her original TikTok video accusing the women of love bombing and clout-chasing.
