In the never-ending saga of TikTok’s messiest breakup, Sway House’s Griffin Johnson is now claiming he did not cheat on ex-girlfriend Dixie D’Amelio.
On his new song ‘Convenient,’ released to his YouTube channel today, the problematic star sings about his split from the eldest D’Amelio sister and claps back at cheating rumours with lyrics like, “You’re the one that didn’t want me. But I ain’t tryna win you back. She said I cheated. That’s just fucked up. But you believed it. Ain’t that convenient.”
These lyrics address the infamous viral TikTok by user Madison Galley who allegedly exposed Griffin for sliding into her DMs and sending her Snapchats saying, “I’m single btw.”
Shortly after the video was posted, Dixie unfollowed Griffin and confirmed their split.
On the track, Griffin also claims the rumours were taken “out of context” and implies Dixie used them as a convenient excuse to end their romance because she was interested in Noah Beck. “Now you can say that I’m heartless,” Griffin sings. “But you don’t know what a heart is. You don’t think I No-ah…but I know a little bit.”
Dixie copped backlash soon after their split for reportedly moving on to Noah, who also happens to be part of Sway House. Noah Beck confirmed his relationship with the TikTok star-turned-singer in a video for AwesomenessTV on October 5th.
Griffin goes on to reveal that he and Dixie still text, but that he’s done saying sorry. On September 1st, Griffin took to Twitter to publicly apologise to Dixie and admitted that he dealt with the breakup immaturely.
Dixie has since responded to Griffin’s allegations and it’s clear she’s not here for his flip flopping. In a TikTok video set to her ex’s new song, Dixie shares screenshots of DMs, messages, and texts Griffin allegedly sent to other girls over the course of their relationship. She also includes a text apology it seems she received from Griffin admitting to his cheating.
While there might be two sides to every story, we’re pretty sure there’s only one side of this one.
