Live music in many ways feels like a rite of passage– an experience the pandemic stole from music lovers across Australia as they came of age. In an effort to re-connect Aussies with live performances, Samsung Galaxy has announced “Flextival,” an exclusive music festival that champions Australian artists and musicians for one night only, celebrating the launch of their latest fourth-gen Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip smartphones.
Headlined by PNAU DJ SET (off the back of collaborations with Dua Lipa and Elton John), Flextival will feature a slew of up-and-coming talent including Set Mo, Dena Amy, Stacie Fields, dameeeela, Troy Beman and Madami.
Hosted by renowned MC Shantan Wantan Ichiban, the event will be held at Sydney’s Cargo Hall at the Overseas Passenger Terminal on September 28th, 2022. Flexitval will be a unique immersive experience, featuring a host of top Australian musical talent and visual artists just footsteps fromSydney Harbour.
In keeping with Samsung’s focus on innovation, the evening will be uniquely inspired by the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 with a 6-metre high LED wall and floor that will make up the main stage; echoing the shape, proportions, and features of the Galaxy Z series foldable devices. Attendees will also have an opportunity to get hands-on with the devices in the “Flex Studio” as a bonus.
From the distinctive colourways (The Z Flip4 comes in Pink Gold, Graphite, Blue and Bora Purple with bespoke options, while the Z Fold4 comes in Phantom Black, Beige, Greygreen and Burgundy – a Samsung.com exclusive), to the expanded personalisation options and cinematic viewing experience, the latest Galaxy Z series foldable devices are designed to promote self-expression and creativity.
Free tickets for Flextival (must be 18+, ID required) will be available from September 21st, 2022 through EventBrite using a registration code posted on Samsung social channels. For those unable to get their hands on a ticket, an encore presentation will be streamed on MixMag following the event beginning October 7th.
