Sparking breakup rumours, back in March TikTok Room reported that Mads Lewis unfollowed Jaden Hossler and deleted all their pictures together on her Instagram. Fans were left in shock, considering Mads had just tweeted in support of Jaden’s new music.
Around the same time TikTok Room broke the news, Mads posted the iconic scene from 10 Things I Hate About You where Kat Stratford lists everything she “hates” about Patrick Verona on her Instagram story.
The timeline of “Jads” relationship is confusing, to say the least. It is known that Jaden and Mads were friends before they started dating. Their relationship was confirmed by Jaden in December 2019, when he shared a black and white photo of the two of them with the caption “my muse.”
However, by February 2020, “Jads” was reportedly on the rocks. Neither posted about one another on Valentine’s day. Instead, Jaden tweeted, “i didn’t cheat on mads stop hating on me.”
Even after their alleged breakup, the two seemed to be on good terms. Reconciliation rumours started circulating in July 2020, even after Lil Huddy accused Jaden of cheating on Mads “endless amounts of times” throughout their relationship. Fans continued to ship “Jads,” and they officially reconciled in late 2020.
With Mads unfollowing Nessa Barrett now, some fans speculate that perhaps she is involved as Jaden and Nessa are working on music together.
On March 31st, Mads seemingly confirmed this speculation when she posted a TikTok video to Taylor Swift’s ‘Better Than Revenge.’ In the now-deleted TikTok, Mads spliced together a compilation of photos and videos of her and Jaden with clips of Jaden and Nessa together after they released their song.
Mads ended the TikTok lip-syncing to the lyric, “She took him faster than you could say sabotage.”
Shortly after removing the TikTok video, the 18-year-old made a comment on TikTok Room. “I don’t need to explain myself to anyone,” she started. “I agree the video was immature and I could have expressed myself in a different way or even just kept it to myself. But I’m tired of looking like I’m the bad guy cause people unfollow me.”
Mads went on to say she is not jealous of their song nor is she jealous of Nessa. “I know Ness better than anyone and she knows exactly why I posted this video and that’s all that matters.”
She revealed that she has tried to call and text Nessa to talk but “she didn’t answer so maybe this will get her attention.”
Nessa has since responded to Mads’ cryptic messages, saying she is “not in a place to entertain those full of hatred and lies.”
Nessa also opened up about her mental health, saying she has been “through so much recently” and nearly did something “that is irreversible” two weeks ago.
Nessa Barrett’s ex Josh Richards has also commented on the situation, saying Mads was blowing up his phone all morning before she posted the TikTok video saying she needed to tell him something. He claims Mads’ friend Cynthia Parker was also messaging him saying he’s a great guy and doesn’t “deserve this.”
Though he doesn’t clarify exactly what Cynthia meant, we can assume she was implying Josh doesn’t deserve the betrayal of his ex Nessa and friend Jaden allegedly getting together.
Fast forward to April 12th when the trailer for the latest episode of popular podcast Call Her Daddy was released, featuring Mads as the guest. Posted to the CHD TikTok account, the trailer shows Mads in tears as she discusses her split from Jaden.
“So there’s more drama,” host Alex Cooper starts, to which Mads responds, “Yeah. I found out this morning that Jaden likes Nessa.”
The clip then cuts to Mads accusing Jaden of deleting messages (presumably with Nessa) before he let Mads go through his phone. She also says she found voicenotes on his iPad that insinuated something shady was going on.
“At the very end he told me, ‘I like Nessa.’ And I literally have screenshots,” she drops.
The TikTok star goes on to accuse Nessa of hooking up with Chase “Lil Huddy” Hudson. Nessa also allegedly told Mads that her relationship with Jaden “is going no where.”
The Call Her Daddy x Mads Lewis podcast episode comes out Wednesday, April 14th, but before it had a chance to air Jaden Hossler addressed the situation in an Instagram live. In the video Jaden speaks on many topics, from his relationship with Josh Richards, to the breakup to the role of tea accounts like TikTok Room and TikTok Insiders. Of his relationship with Josh, he explains “for everyone that doesn’t know, I literally went to jail for Josh…I haven’t been able to talk about that for a year…everybody is out here coming for me, saying you’re that backstabber.” He then mentions, in reference to the role of TikTok Room, “It’s not a war, it’s not fun, it’s not a video game, my best friend in the fucking world, blocked me on everything right now.” He finishes by saying, “Josh, if you’re listening bro, please just call me.”
Of the situation with Mads, he says the pair tried to make it work to unsuccessful ends. “I understand she’s going through a lot of hurt, which is why she might have been handling things the way she has been. Do I agree with it? No…But I was not a good boyfriend.”
While Jaden didn’t explicitly mention anything to do with Nessa, Keemstar has reported a source has confirmed Jaden and Nessa are officially together, something Nessa seems to have confirmed with a follow up tweet, saying “I don’t need to pity myself. I know the decision I made. Y’all don’t know the whole story and probably never will because the truth hurts and it shouldn’t be online. Night.”
Nessa’s tweet looks to be speaking to the tension between on-again-off-again BFF’s Josh and Jaden, in the wake of the pair unofficially being announced as a couple. In the meantime, we’re strapped in and ready to hear Mads side of the story on Call Her Daddy.
