Mads Lewis isn’t done telling her side of her breakup story.
Two months after sending the internet into a tailspin over her split from musician Jaden Hossler, the 18-year-old sat down with Dixie D’Amelio this week to spill even more tea on TikTok’s messiest breakup.
ICYMI, Mads and Jaden parted ways in March after a year of dating. Rumours swirled that Jaden had cheated on Mads with her best friend, Nessa Barrett, who was working on music with Jaden at the time. On March 31st, Mads seemingly confirmed this speculation when she posted a TikTok video to Taylor Swift’s ‘Better Than Revenge’. In the now-deleted TikTok, Mads spliced together a compilation of photos and videos of her and Jaden with clips of Jaden and Nessa together after they released their song. She ended the TikTok lip-syncing to the lyric, “She took him faster than you could say sabotage”.
Mads, Jaden, Nessa, and Nessa’s then on-again-off-again boyfriend Josh Richards went on to post several cryptic tweets and comments about the situation. On April 14th, Mads was a guest on the Call Her Daddy podcast where she shared her side of the story, dropping the bomb that Jaden and Nessa like each other.
In the following weeks, several sources confirmed that Jaden and Nessa are now a couple and the two have been photographed getting cozy all over L.A.
Speaking with Dixie D’Amelio and Noah Beck on ‘The Early Late Night Show’, Mads did not hold back, revealing she sugarcoated a lot of things on Call Her Daddy.
Though she’s heavily insinuated it for weeks, Mads confirms that Nessa allegedly stole Jaden from her. “I don’t like people who steal your boyfriends, but it’s fine,” she tells Dixie and Noah. Mads also reveals that Jaden broke up with her on the phone and claims Jaden cheated on her throughout their relationship— something she only found out about after they split.
When asked why Josh was “so against” believing Mads’ initial allegations that Jaden and Nessa were together, Mads says “Jaden lied to him, that’s what he always does. Telling him that everything I was saying wasn’t true.” Dixie notes that Jaden and Josh were “best friends, like brothers”.
One week before the news broke, Josh allegedly told Jaden that he loved Nessa and planned to marry her. “Wanna know the saddest part?” Mads says. “Josh told Jaden a week before all [the drama] happened, he said, ‘I’m ready to marry this girl, bro. I literally love this girl.’ Doesn’t that make you want to cry?”
Dixie switches gears, asking Mads to comment on Jaden’s reaction last summer to rumours that Nessa kissed Chase “Lil Huddy” Hudson (Charli D’Amelio’s ex-boyfriend) while she was dating Josh. At the time, Jaden publicly defended Josh and dragged Chase for being a bad friend and breaking bro code. “[He] literally made Chase feel stupid,” she says. “[He] didn’t need to go to Chase’s house and threaten him only to do the same thing a year later.”
Despite the real-life heartbreak this situation has caused, Mads suggests that Jaden and Nessa’s relationship may have started as a publicity stunt. “I think [their relationship] was set up by Nessa and her manager because she wants fame really bad,” she says before implying she believes the couple call the paparazzi on themselves when they go out.
“He taught me what I don’t want in a man,” she says when asked if she has any regrets. “Honestly he’s a narcissistic.” Mads goes on to say she felt “gaslit” into the relationship because after the two kissed on New Year’s Eve, Jaden turned into a different person.
The day after Mads’ interview on ‘The Early Late Night Show’ dropped, Nessa seemingly responded on Instagram stories, writing, “Lol y’all believe anything”.
Jaden has not publicly commented on Mads’ allegations at the time of publication.
