While the Kardashians remain the queens of Instagram, their children appear to be giving them a serious run for their money when it comes to social media savviness.
Making headlines earlier this year for creating a secret TikTok account during quarantine (and using it to pick a fight with Jeffree Star), it seems Mason Disick has learnt some lessons in social media he is eager to impart to his younger cousins— namely North West, who has garnered 2.3 million followers on her joint account with mum, Kim Kardashian. Typically sharing snippets of her life on TikTok, North West has recently forayed into the world of live streaming on TikTok, igniting a running joke with followers asking the eight year-old to share Kim’s credit card details, amongst other private details.
In a series of Instagram stories today however, Kim shared how “mature and loving [Mason is] becoming,” explaining he is “so protective over all of [his] cousins and family.” She then shared a screenshot of text messages where Mason can be seen texting Kim clarifying that he doesn’t think North should be “going live” without supervision. Mason continues that “people are always screen recording and she might tell information that isn’t correct and stuff like that, that she will regret.” The 12 year-old then speaks to his own experience, saying that he has made similar mistakes— “I did the exact same thing as she did, I would do the lives and now I regret saying one of the things that I said,” before explaining it is an issue of safety and he’d “love to talk to her about it.”
Kim captioned the stories, “Mason is so mature! An insightful king.”
While many are impressed with the thoughtfulness shown by Mason, an equal amount suspect Kourtney or Kris may be behind the text messages— suggesting Kris Jenner may have her next publicity move in motion behind the scenes…only time will tell.
