TikTok’s biggest names continue to transcend the platform.
Sway House‘s Josh Richards, Noah Beck, and Griffin Johnson have teamed up to start Animal Capital— a $15 million venture capital fund focused on raising money and assisting start-ups to reach Gen-Z consumers.
Backed by several experienced investors and advisors including Twitch co-founder Justin Kan, Animal Capital is a joint venture with former Director of Strategy for WarnerMedia, Marshall Sandman, and TalentX’s Michael Gruen. The firm has already helped a number of start-ups in the last 12 months.
“With the team we’ve assembled, I have no doubt that Animal Capital will set a new standard in the investment space,” Josh said of his latest project.
Just last month, the Triller star also revealed he’s heading up a new venture with Unrealistic Ideas— the production company owned by Mark Wahlberg. Josh and partners will be launching their own production company called CrossCheck Studios, which will focus on bringing content to life from “internet-native creatives” for Gen-Z. Josh will be CEO while Gruen will also be working with the influencer on this project as the company’s president.
Another massive step for the legitimacy of digital creators.
