Jackie Aina and PatrickStarrr are teaming up just in time for carnival season!
The viral YouTube sensations have collaborated on a carnival-inspired collection for UOMA Beauty called the Black Magical Carnival Collection.
This limited-edition collection features colour cosmetics and accessories adorned in rhinestones, glitter and drama. The line pays homage to carnival costumes and festivals from around the world like Mardi Gras and Caribana.
The collection features a bronzing highlighter, iridescent glitter lipsticks, long false lashes adorned with rhinestones and a colourful 10-pan eyeshadow palette filled with vibrant metallics and mattes. Customers can also purchase Jackie Aina or PatrickStarrr bundles, which contain four of the influencers’ favourite products from the collection.
Since its inception, UOMA Beauty has been pioneering inclusivity and diversity in the beauty industry. Founder Sharon Chuter told Forbes that the idea for the brand came to her after years of working her way up through major cosmetics companies (like L’Oreal, Benefit and Revlon) only to look around and see she was only person of colour in the boardroom.
Inspired by Sharon’s Nigerian heritage, UOMA launched out the gate with an impressive shade range and pigmented colour cosmetics like eyeshadows and lipsticks that suit darker skin tones.
“Every person deserves to have that feeling of being enough, being worthy, and being beautiful,” Sharon told Forbes on re-defining inclusivity and diversity. “It is quite a liberating feeling.”
This exciting collab also includes a creative makeup competition, with winners chosen by Jackie and Patrick themselves! UOMA Beauty is encouraging those who purchase the collection to share their best looks on Instagram, tagging @UOMABeauty and using the hastag #UOMACarnival. Jackie and Patrick will pick four winners to be featured on UOMA’s social media, including one grand prize winner who will be awarded $5,000!
