It’s a massive payday for Charli and Dixie D’Amelio.
Today, the D’Amelio sisters took home the top prize in the Creator Games 2, a live-stream trivia competition presented by YouTube sensation MrBeast and co-hosted by Jack “CouRage” Dunlop and Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag. After facing off against 23 opponents for three consecutive hours, Dixie — who flew solo in the final round — won a whopping $300,000 against YouTuber Zachary Hsieh AKA ZHC.
As per MrBeast’s competition conditions, the winning creator is not allowed to keep the prize money and instead, must give it away to one or more of their subscribers.
Despite beating out ZHC fair and square in the championship, Dixie is now facing backlash for “cheating,” as the entire D’Amelio family, including parents Marc and Heidi who were not billed to compete, participated as a team.
“Hello D’Amelio crew,” said CouRage as the four family members appeared on the live-stream together. “Is this going to be a coordinated team effort from you four right now?” To which Marc responded, “Absolutely.”
For the entirety of the tournament, the D’Amelio family competed as a unit, giving them an unfair advantage according to many fans. The D’Amelios were also caught using their phones during the game and frequently looked off-screen, as if someone was on the sidelines feeding them answers.
Before the final round, MrBeast addressed this advantage and asked that the D’Amelios to choose only one family member to compete. “I think, to keep it fair for the championship, we should have the D’Amelios pick one,” he announced. “D’Amelios, you can probably hear us already, go ahead and pick one person since it’s for $300K and we’ll do a 1 V 1.”
Upon winning the championship round, Dixie said she was “shaking” with excitement and revealed she will be giving away the $300,000 on the D’Amelio family channel.

This is the second influencer competition the MrBeast has hosted amidst the Coronavirus pandemic.
The YouTuber, who first shot to fame for giving away his own money to his gaming opponents on live-stream and recording their reactions, hosted a virtual rock, paper, scissors tournament back in April with 32 of the world’s most famous internet personalities. Participants included Jeffree Star, Tana Mongeau, David Dobrik, Addison Rae, Marques Brownlee, Casey Neistat, Tfue, and even actor Jack Black.
Nadeshot won the tournament, beating out Casey Neistat in the final round and gave away $250,000 to the CDC Foundation in honour of his friend’s family.
