Tana Mongeau has confirmed that she is no longer best friends with influencer Ashly Schwan.
On a new episode of her podcast, Cancelled, Tana addressed rumours about her friendship with Ashly, claiming she recently discovered that Ashly was secretly seeing her ex-boyfriend.
In speaking with her co-host Brooke Schofield, Tana explained that she hosted a birthday trip in June to the Turks and Caicos where she flew all her best friends out to celebrate. On the last night of the holiday, Tana discovered that Ashly had been seeing her ex-boyfriend Joey Joy (of Too Hot To Handle fame) for the past eight months behind Tana’s back.
In the episode, Tana said several people in her friend group were aware of the secret relationship between Ashly and Joey and were purposefully keeping it from Tana, which hurts the most.
This is not the first time that one of Tana’s best friends got involved with her ex-boyfriend behind her back.
Back in 2020, Brooke herself actually hooked up with Tana’s ex-boyfriend which led to a falling out between the two.
At the time, Tana made a video detailing the betrayal. Rather than using Brooke’s real name, Tana called her “Mindy” throughout the video. Brooke made a follow-up video responding to Tana titled ‘To Tana From Mindy’, confirming that Tana’s video was about her.
Since the “Mindy” drama, Ashly has been very public about her dislike for Brooke, so fans can’t help but call out Ashly’s hypocrisy given she’s now done the same thing to Tana.
While Tana and Brooke have obviously since reconciled, Ashly disabled her Instagram account this week following the release of their episode.
