Samsung Galaxy Announces New TikTok Singing Competition Featuring The Veronicas

Samsung Galaxy has partnered with production and talent agency, Amplify, to announce UNDSCVRD — the first-ever singing competition series that will air exclusively on TikTok.

The Voice-esque video series will begin the search for Australia’s up-and-coming musical talent by reviewing TikTok submissions, and will ultimately select five aspiring musicians to document their journey through the competition.

The series will be hosted by social media personality and DJ, Ben Gerrans, and feature Australian pop-rock icons, The Veronicas, as mentors. With the help of The Veronicas and other industry leaders, each contestant will produce their own original single and music video and battle it out for first place.

Unlike other singing competitions, the series will not have eliminations but will end with a live concert event in October that will be streamed on TikTok, where all contestants will perform their singles, and the winner will play three songs to open for The Veronicas.

The winner will also have the opportunity to produce an original 5-track EP and be set up with album art, PR releases, and media opportunities to establish themself as an independent artist.

The winner will be chosen by The Veronicas and industry professionals, taking fan engagement on TikTok into account.
