Yesterday, Outer Banks stars Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline publicly confirmed their romance on Instagram after months of rumours.
“Cats outta the bag ❤️,” Chase wrote under photos of the couple having a beach picnic.
Though Madelyn has yet to announce the news herself, she commented under Chase’s post, “Topper punching the air rn,” in reference to her OBX character, Sarah, leaving boyfriend Topper to be with Chase’s character, John B. “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up,” she continued.
The 22-year-old also posted Chase’s post to her IG story…so it’s safe to say they’re public now!
Friends and fans alike have expressed their excitement over the news.
Castmate Johnathon Davis commented, “Well it’s about time,” and the official Outer Banks IG commented, “WHEN POGUE MET KOOK.” These terms are used as societal descriptors in the Netflix series. Chase’s character is a working-class kid, or a ‘Pogue,’ while Madelyn’s character is a ‘Kook,’ the wealthy kids on the island.
Fans are gushing over the news in the comments, with many saying the cat was “never in the bag.”
