CEO of lockdown.
Scotland’s biggest beauty guru, Jamie Genevieve, and her husband Jack McCann are filming their own reality show for the BBC Scotland called Jamie Genevieve: Great Indoors.
The couple announced the news this week on Twitter and elaborated on the opportunity in their weekly Sunday vlog— a series which helped catapult Jamie to worldwide fame over the course of three years.
“We’ve been asked to make a TV show about life in lockdown…and we said yes,” Jamie explains in the promo. “I hope the BBC know what they’re in for.”
The show will follow Jamie and Jack as they stay busy in lockdown with DIY home projects, cooking, decorating, and wild viral challenges. Due to social-distancing restrictions, the three-part mini-series was exclusively shot by the social media stars themselves, making the show all the more authentic.
The opportunity comes off the back of Jamie’s first BBC reality show, Jamie Genevieve #Unfiltered, which followed the YouTuber’s life over the course of 6 months.
As one of the most-followed beauty vloggers in the UK, Jamie has worked with brands such as M.A.C, Fenty Beauty and Charlotte Tilbury. She spends the majority of her time flying between Scotland, London, and L.A., while creating weekly content for her nearly 2 million followers across social media.
Jamie Genevieve: Great Indoors premieres Thursday, May 21st on BBC Scotland.
