Bella Hadid is entering 2023 with new energy and a fresh hairstyle.
After years of rocking her signature dark locks, the 26-year-old— who was recently named Model of the Year by models.com— kicked off the holiday season by debuting a drastic hair transformation.
Taking a page out of Kim Kardashian‘s lookbook, Bella has bleached her raven tresses, revealing new honey-blonde hair!
The model first shared her new colour on social media while spending time in Aspen. “Feeling a little better & a little blonder,” Bella wrote in a selfie video showing off her new hair.
The team behind Bella’s transformation is NYC-based celebrity colourist Jenna Perry and stylist Jessica Gillin.
Though Bella has maintained dark brown hair for the majority of her modelling career, her natural colour is actually blonde.
“I started dyeing my hair when I was 14. I dyed it black and blue, I wore eyeliner—I was a punk kid. I might want to go blond eventually,” Bella told Glamour in 2016 on why she started dying her hair dark. “I didn’t really dye my hair to separate myself from Gigi.”
In 2017, Bella told Harper’s Bazaar that switching up her hair “takes away a lot of past resolutions,” leading some fans to believe this new transformation may be related to a major life change.
Regardless of the reason, Bella looks healthy and happy rocking her new blonde locks!
