In the unexpected pairing of the day, rumours have begun circulating TikTok’s golden girl, Charli D’Amelio could be dating rock royalty and recent addition to the Kardashian family, 18-year old Landon Barker.
Rumours began swirling when the pair were spotted leaving Landon Barker’s show together, rumours that were exacerbated when Lil Huddy (Chase Hudson), a close friend of Landon Barker and ex-boyfriend of Charli D’Amelio, then deleted a photo of himself and Landon from Instagram.
Fans quickly noted Charli and Landon shared Instagram stories at the same time, tagging the same LA-based tattoo artist— insinuating the pair may have gotten inked together.
Charli and Landon were then photographed again, amongst a group of friends, leaving the launch party for Dixie D’Amelio’s debut album, ‘a letter to me’ in LA.
Adding further fuel to the fire, People recently confirmed the relationship rumours with an “insider”.
“They’re seeing each other, and it’s early stages,” the source shared. The statement being released in line with new paparazzi images being published of Charli and Landon leaving a restaurant in New York City, holding hands— seemingly confirming the status of their relationship.
With the rumours gaining traction, commenters have drawn attention to Lil Huddy’s attendance at the recent Italian nuptials of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, as a close friend of Landon— posing the question of whether or not Landon has betrayed Chase if he and Charli are in fact together. This seems to have been confirmed recently, with Chase unfollowing Landon and both of Charli’s parents— Heidi and Marc. As TikTok Room shares, Landon then returned the favour by unfollowing Chase.
An alternate theory posed by Josh Richards on the BFFs podcast has suggested the relationship rumours are merely good publicity for the D’Amelio family, considering the Barkers’ proximity to the Kardashians, and the fact that both The D’Amelio Show and recently wrapped first season of The Kardashians are produced by Hulu. However, evidence is suggesting the TikTok star and musician are looking to be Gen Z’s new power couple.
