Lizzo is seeking new talent to join her stage crew. And she’s doing it for reality TV.
The Truth Hurts singer took to Instagram on Friday to announce her new project with Amazon Studios— a model and dancer talent search for full-figured women.
“Where are all the big girls? That’s what I want to know,” the three-time Grammy winner asked. “So me and Amazon are gonna find out.”
She went on to explain that she’s “developing an unscripted show with Amazon” to find her next “crew of big girl dancers and models.”
In the caption Lizzo says they’re currently taking applicaitons at biggrrrls.com.
Though few details are available yet, the show’s official description reads: “A new unscripted series following global superstar Lizzo as she continues to search for dynamic, full-figured women to join her world and perform with her on stage. Only the most talented dancers and models will have what it takes to twerk it out on tour and stomp it out on the runway.”
The series is the debut project to come out of a first-look deal the artist inked with Amazon Studios back in August.
“Lizzo is one of the most exciting, creative, joyful artists in the industry, and it is such a pleasure to announce this new deal with her,” Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke said in August. “She has such a unique perspective and we’re so excited to hear her ideas for new content that our Prime Video customers are sure to love.”
Lizzo will also executive produce the series. We cannot wait to watch.
