From slaying dragons to slaying deals.
Emilia Clarke AKA Khaleesi AKA The Mother of Dragons AKA Daenerys Targaryen AKA our hair inspo icon has landed herself a new role post-Game of Thrones.
The actress announced today on her Instagram that she’s now the Global Ambassador for beauty giant, Clinique.
A major deal for both parties, the collaboration is Emilia’s first beauty campaign as well as Clinique’s first-ever global ambassadorship in the brand’s 50-year history.
Emilia will be representing Clinique iD, the brand’s skincare range which allows consumers to customise their moisturiser based on their personal skin concerns, choosing from a variety of bases and active cartridges.
“Seeing all the beauty brands displayed at department stores, I really noticed that Clinique was consistently being completely universal,” she told People of her early love for the brand.
In a promotional video posted on-site, Emilia said her mother first introduced her to Clinique products, giving the partnership a nostalgic feel, “My mom knew about Clinique and knew it as being innovative, current, accessible. To have all of those things consistently and still feel modern is just really exciting.”
As for her own Clinique iD, Emilia says she opts for a lightweight moisturiser to help revive her tired skin. And she’s calling all Khaleesi’s to share their own skin journies using the hashtag #iDyourself.
